Our goal at Earthlike Worlds is to revolutionize content creation by facilitating cooperation among a diverse group of artists and laborers. There are inherent limits to the atomized, individualistic model of creativity fostered by capitalism. One author, one coder, one graphic designer can only do so much. And should they want to borrow the work of another – say, a character for their story, or a story for their game – they would find themselves in a prohibitively complex web of legal and financial relationships
Earthlike Worlds cuts through this Gordian knot by aggregating all of the IP generated by members of the collective, and distributing all profit from the collective endeavor to members. This means that there is a large body of IP available to all members, who are encouraged to build upon it and develop it further. Through this decentralized, iterative process, enormous creative tasks can be undertaken, including the creation of vast, complex worlds unmatched in the history of fiction.
